Buyongdae Observatory
Hike up to the 64-meter high observatory located at where Taebaeksan Mountain Range ends to overlook the majestic Andong Hahoe Folk Village. From the summit, get the best view of the Hahoe area and take in the lush greens to release your stress.
Dosanseowon Confucian Academy
Marvel at the oriental architectural designs and immerse yourself in the idyllic vibe. Stroll along the quaint yards that can trace back to the 16th century and learn the glorious history of this ancient school.
In terms of architecture, Dosanseowon Confucian Academy complex can largely be divided into Dosanseodang compound and Dosanseowon compound. Dosanseodang area consists of living quarters and lecture halls where Toegye Yi Hwang, an eminent Confucian scholar, lived and taught his students. Dosanseowon was built after Toegye Yi Hwang passed away by his followers in legacy of his teachings as well as to pay respects to the deceased.
Woryeonggyo Bridge
Woryeonggyo Bridge is the longest footbridge made of wood in Korea. Woryeonggyo Bridge harbors a tragic yet beautiful legend about a wife who made a pair of Mituri (hemp shoes) out of her hair in heartfelt yearning and condolence for her late husband. In commemoration of her pure and noble love, the bridge was designed in the style of Mituri.
